After his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from University of Calcutta, Pradhan Sir taught at St. Lawrence High School, Kolkata from 1980 till his retirement in 2016.

One remarkable and most successful Doctor of my first batch of students in 1982 is Dr. Kalyan Kar, FRCS (presently working as Head, Dept. of Surgery, AMRI and attached with so many hospitals). I feel proud to have mentored them once and those who are still under my guidance. For over four decades, I have been associated with teaching biology at the 10+2 level and also training students for All India Medical Entrance Exams. The secret to my popularity is the very high rate of success of my students.
